General Service Technician

Gain valuable experience as you continue to develop your mechanical and technical skills. We are seeking an Automotive General / Light Service Technician to join our team. This position will allow the right person to demonstrate their knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, light service of basic vehicle systems. Ongoing training will be provided through our affiliation with NAPA, NAPA Tech and other sources both in online and classroom formats. Competitive pay based on experience and benefits offered!

Job Responsibilities
As an Automotive General /Light Service Technician you will be expected to perform basic light maintenance and service on a variety of makes and models. This will include but may not be limited to:

• Performing oil change services, checking and topping off of all fluids, checking tire pressures, air and cabin filters in a timely manor
• Performing safety, general service inspections identifying fluid leakage, tire wear, service light identification and unperformed maintenance.
• Flushing and servicing of all fluid operated or containing systems
• Drive belt, coolant hose and light bulb replacements.
• Able to perform tire rotation, mounting and balancing and have basic TPMS knowledge.
• Basic brake inspection of pad and shoe wear, rotor and drum wear limits, fluid leakage
• Alignment experience is a plus but not required at time of hire.
• Communicating with service advisor of needed safety repairs or maintenance other than listed on the repair order.
• General cleaning of service area and facility grounds if needed.
• Being open and available to all service training opportunities, whether self- paced or instructor led.
